Full-contact Stand-up fighting, with 10 oz boxing gloves, Head gear, shin/instep protectors, mouthpiece and groin protector. Full contact punches and kicks to the head, body and legs only. Techniques must make strong, full-contact to be scored. Throws & take-downs allowed, submissions only on the ground; armbars, legbars, chokes, etc., No striking or kicking while on ground, only submissions, no ground fighting. 10 seconds to fix the submission, if not, then stand back up to fight. *All punches = 1 point *Body and leg kicks = 1 point *Head kicks = 2 points *Jumping kicks to body = 2 points *Jumping kicks to head = 3 points *Large throw = 2 points *Take-down = 1 point *Groin and knee joint kicks = Not allowed Win by Knock-out, TKO, Submission, Abandon or Points _________________________________ Knockdown Kempo Full-contact Stand-up and Ground Fighting using 4oz open finger gloves, shin/instep protectors, mouthpiece and groin protection. While Standing... Punches, knees, kicks, and elbows to body and legs only. Techniques must make strong, full-contact to be scored. No punches, elbows or knees to the head at any time. Round kicks only to head. No frontal or side kicks to the head or face, only roundhouse kicks to the head and face. While on the ground... Throws & take-downs allowed, submissions on the ground; armbars, legbars, chokes, etc., most common throws and grappling techniques allowed. Ground fighting allowed on the ground: punches, knees, and elbows to the body and legs only. No striking the head or face while on the ground. No head butts. *All punches and hand strikes = No point, use only to cause damage/soften up opponent. *All Striking and kicking, knees and elbows to the body & legs on the ground allowed but no points. *Standing Body and leg kicks = 1 point *Standing Head kicks = 2 points *Jumping kicks to body = 2 points *Jumping kicks to head = 3 points *Large throw = 2 points *Take-down = 1 point *Full-control mount, 10 seconds - 4 points *Escape from mount taking control = 3 points (If you escape and just stand up and move away without immediately engaging and taking control there are no points awarded. If you escape you must take control and receive both escape '3' and control '4' points.) Win by Knock-out, TKO, Submission, Abandon or Points __________________________________ Submission Kempo Grappling only, no ground fighting (striking or kicking), only submissions; chokes, joint locks, arm bars, leg bars, etc,. No small joint locks or twisting joint locks. Common throws, take-downs and grappling techniques allowed. Take-downs = 1 point Large throws = 2 points Immobilization, 10 seconds = 4 points Escapes = 3 points (If you escape and just stand up and move away without immediately engaging and taking control there are no points awarded. If you escape you must take control and receive both escape '3' and control '4' points.) Win by Submission, TKO, Abandon or points
